The Collages of David Rachlis will be on display from June 28 through the end of July.

Rachlis’ collages convey an analysis of the Twentieth Century and it’s relationship to the greater scheme of History. The precisely cut images from maps, textbooks and encyclopedias collected from his time as a Park Ranger at Zion National Park in Utah, create informed observations between the geological, biological, botanical and the man-made.

More subliminal and far-reaching than obvious, Rachlis’ work is not overtly opinionated and doesn’t try to shovel an ideology down the viewer’s throat, but asks the viewer to stop and think about the world we live in.
